Cold Weather and Wool

Many of us are "enjoying" some pretty cold temps right now. I think that may have influenced my choice while looking through our C&PLG listings this morning.  Rich colors, warm wool and imagining the glow of a scented candle displayed on this penny rug gave me a warm smile . This was made by Leanne of Harvest Moon by the Lake. To see this listing and other pretty offerings by Leanne please click right here: HarvestMoonbytheLake

C&PLG ebay listing browsing

Today I wanted to share with you this needle punch piece made by Doris. Some of you may know her on ebay as Wellingtonwoolies. She has changed her ebay ID to Luv2Punch which really suits her craft! I love the detail she has on this piece. Folks, remember this is done with DMC embroidery floss. Each little loop you see is fed into the fabric through a special type of needle. I tried this craft a few times and my pieces looked more like fuzz blobs! lol To see more of this current auction just click here: Luv2Punch

Celebrate the season of Love

Looking through the ebay C&PLG listings this morning this one by Debbie of Barefoot Primitives caught my eye. Winter is a colorless season outdoors so round about now the reds of Valentines Day are a welcome relief. Debbie has a knack for recreating the primitve, vintage look and this beautiful cross stitched pin keep is no exception. Won't you stop by and see for your self? This listing is active til Feb 3rd so don't drag your feet!

Search for us on eBay with these initials C&PLG

It has taken a bit of discussion and prodding but it looks like as of Feb 1st we will be using C&PLG as the new initials to type in the search box and find our listings. You see, for a very long time we have used CPLG and it worked like a charm.... until ebay made some changes in their search process. At first we noticed a few plumbing accessories mixed in with our handmades. It seems cplg is also the abbreviation for coupling as in pipes. We wondered if "Garage Guy" (as we nicnamed him ) noticed his pipe fitting were nestled among Raggedy dolls, stitcheries, candle mats, painted goodies etc. We joked that perhaps he would shop with us for his wife or girlfriend as he looked over his listings. Then we noticed he had more listings than we did and it really cramped our advertising style! The group's pretty handmade items were scatterd over a couple pages of nut tubes, PVC in assorted sizes, Pipe fittings, hose couplings and none of them primitive! lol This was not the shopping experience we wanted for our wonderful customers and so we have decided on this little change. A few gals have already started using the new initials in their listing titles and we all plan on being on board by Feb 1st. So remember, when you are searching for wonderful handmade pretties type C&PLG in the search box on any ebay page and prepare to be delighted!

Edited to Add: We have a link to the C&PLG search on the links for Ebay in the sidebar.

It's January, 2010 and my month to offer our CPLG giveaway. I'm an animal lover, after dogs my favorite animal is probably the horse. Horses are wonderful, they even smell good!! I have chosen for my giveaway a 5"x7" punch needle piece of a horse and colt designed by Deborah St Germaine. I have used all hand dyed DMC floss and attached a wool backing. To enter the drawing for the giveaway simply add a comment and give an e-mail address telling how you can be reached. The drawing will be January 15th. I'll copy all the names, drop them in a bowl and have my husband draw the winner. Check back on the 15th to see if you won.
I wish you all a very happy, healthy New Year!!
