Awarding our Blog

Strictly speaking, this is probably a cheat. Because it is being awarded to a group blog, and because it is something I can post to... But of all the group blogs that I participate in, this is absolutely the best. Different people take turns adding to it. Sometimes it is quiet for awhile and then a flurry of activity. Just like real life. For all of the wonderful gals of CPLG U Be Amazing! (see, only one letter got dropped!) It just fits you all. ;) Jo

Are you catching the Christmas spirit?

Now don't get me wrong. I LOVE Thanksgiving Day....the delicious food, time spent with family and friends, reflecting on our blessings and thanking our Dear Lord for the graces He sends us. The days roll by so fast anymore. When I was little, Christmas and my birthday were my two favorite holidays of the year and they never came fast enough. Now they come and are gone in a blink but the memories of these days are always with us. As for that Christmas spirit... it is sneaking up on me and I am feeling near ready to put away my fall colored decorations to make room for the red and green and snowfolk.I did some sewing and have finished up a doll with some gingerbread accessories as an outlet for my Christmassy urges. I have her picture posted here for you and I listed her on ebay. Remember to visit all of us CPLG sisters on eBay where you can find some unique, one of a kind gifts for folks on your list or as a treat for yourself. Maureen (aka stitchesnmore)

Cotton Eyed Jo is at the Discovery Green Holiday Market

For all the remaining Thursdays in November(excluding Thanksgiving) and the 1st three Thursdays of December, I'll be selling hooked rugs, dolls, and holiday ornies at the Holiday market at Discovery Green. I'm sharing a booth with a friend! Our seller names at Etsy are Parish Pretties(my friend) and Cotton Eyed Jo. My seller name at Ebay is Swimminginfabric. You can see HRBrown Convention Center in the background. You can find an organic food market, several food vendors, and a variety of other items. Discovery Green is a beautiful park with water features, a couple of restaurants, and a skating rink opening for December skating! There are even concerts scheduled for the Thursday evenings of the market. This week we are even hoping to see some stars from the Latin Grammy Awards walking through the park! Stop by and visit with us, if you come to the market...

I know Thanksgiving is coming so thought I would share my decoration with you. Pretty sad isn't it? Well I do have fall leaves in the center of the dining room table and well that is about all. Oh yes a silly turkey hanging on my wall that my daughter made. I will try and get a picture of it too. This turkey cracks me up. I have him sitting on my new tobacco lathe ladder I bought in Tennessee at our craft show in the big tent(Pigeon Forge) Hope to see you all there next year
