pictures of yellowsweetpotato craft show

Just thought I would share with you some pictures from my craft show I did last week with my two daughters. It was in Pigeon Forge Tennessee and lasted 8 days. Long time for an old lady like me to do a show. Had a lot of fun and met a whole lot of great people. Probably do it again next year too. Here is a picture of Me, Pat, yellowsweetpotato, standing in our booth trying to keep warm.

Here are my two daughters, Barb and Jane, lets just say they were bored and sleepy(and posing for my picture). We found Sundays to be slowslowslow in Pigeon Forge. That is the day most tourists go home and Monday is the day most arrive for the next week. So business was slow that day.

So I won't bore you with a lot more of my pictures but I have posted a lot more of them on my own personal blog, yellowsweetpotato.

Fall decorating

well Debbie has inspired me to update some on this blog too. We have decorated for fall a bit around our home so I will show you some pictures. I really wanted some pumpkins to add to the front but mine, I tired to grow, just never made anything big enough to pick. So will have to make do with what we have.

Some are inside my home and some outside my home.

Well it is halloween and fall so we all know we absolutely must have a dish of Hershey Kisses sitting around wrapped in fall colors. I think this candy dish is empty now since the picture was taken quite a few days ago. HUM YUMMY.

Happy Fall!!!!

Fall has got to be my favorite time of year! Not too hot - not too cold!
Well since the raccoons, squirrels and deer ravaged my orchard again this year, I had to buy apples. Ugh! They got our peaches, apples and pears, the little thieves! LOL

So for the last couple days, I've been busy cuttin', peelin', cookin', 'n cannin' Apple Sauce, Apple Butter, Apple Jelly, and Apple Pie Filling. And yes, I've got two of those time saving hand crank apple peelers or I'd never be done! We did save a few apples just for munchin' or another yummy apple recipe or two! ;o)

Also made some Apple Dumplings and we took a little break this afternoon and dove into some hot yummy with a cup of coffee. Oh they were wonderful!

Here's just some of the canning... the rest is already in the pantry!
My family likes their applesauce a little chunky instead of the smooth "baby food" type! LOL

Enjoy the season my friends!
